Made from four strawberry varieties, this oak barrel fortified wine has a heady bouquet and is delicately sweet in palate, reflecting the depth and smoothness of maturity. Strawberry varieties with high levels of sugar and low acidity are used in the port, which goes through a high-level fermentation process.
The resulting wine is clarified and stabilized, then fortified and stored in French oak for up to 8 years. After which the wine is blended, sweetened and bottled.
The distinguished result makes it an ideal digestif and accompaniment to cheese selections from Cambozola to Stilton.
